Reviews from Another Lesson Platform
We love Ms. Heather! She is so dedicated and patient with my daughter and my daughter has grown leaps and bounds in a very short time. She is wonderful!
Heather is great! It was our first lesson and she made my daughter feel so comfortable! Heather is clearly very knowledgeable about all styles of music. We are eager to continue with her.
Heather is/was great....patient, friendly, kind and experienced. I had to break from my lessons after 2 years but plan to be back. Joe
Granddaughter enjoy her time and knowledge of teacher looking forward to next lesson
Heather is a great teacher; she is able to gauge ability and keeps the lessons varied and interesting, always pushing you just at the edge, beyond what you thought you were capable of. Friendly, amiable, and laidback in style, she makes learning in a comfortable atmosphere fun. You can tell she has a real passion for music and teaching, and results after just a few lessons proves she knows what she is doing. I am a beginning singer, my only prior experience was singing with the congregation in church, not the choir.
She's really nice, and makes warm-ups before starting the lesson for your voice range. The variety of songs you can sing is pretty big, you want to sing in Italian? There's plenty! Want to sing in Latin? I'm pretty sure there's a few! There are songs from various musicals, too. All in all, she's a pretty great teacher.
awsome
Great experience despite an internet outage!
Heather has been doing online voice lessons for my daughters for several months now and we are extremely happy with her teaching and how well the lessons are going! She is very knowledgeable and patient and their singing has improved so much. They love their voice lessons!
Very encouraging teacher
As an adult piano student, I found Heather to be a knowledgeable and supportive teacher, from whom I took lessons for many years. She is friendly and patient. Had I not moved, I would still be taking lessons from Heather.
I am so thankful to have Heather as my vocal teacher. She knows exactly what her students need to reach their maximum potential and she helps them to build a strong and solid foundation. Heather is not only an outstanding teacher, amazingly gifted vocalist, and a beautiful woman, she is also very encouraging, motivating, fun and caring. I absolutely love her. She is an answer to prayer, a blessing beyond words!!

My daughter likes her singing lessons with Heather.
She is an excellent teacher. She is very patient with my son.
Need to know a little bit more about how the singing process works without going into the students class time thank you
Heather is such a nice, professional and sweet teacher! Thank you so much for your accommodation of my time issue! Q and Panny are sooooo adorable and Q even sings along when we sing. You should come check her out haha!
Heather is a marvelous teacher. She has a great personality that really puts you at ease. She shows great patience and always has an encouraging word about your progress. Lessons tend to go by so quickly because they are a lot of fun. I highly recommend her.
Piano Lessons Heather is a wonderful teacher. She has patience, kindness and puts me at ease when I play for her. She makes me laugh, too!
Heather is a great teacher Heather is one of the most encouraging teachers I have come into contact with. My children love to practice because of her encouragement. She has the sweetest temperament and deals with her students with patience and kindness.
Love taking lessons with Heather! Heather's teaching style is relaxed yet with the utmost professionalism. She has offered so many techniques to make an older gal like me learn easier. She communicates in such a way that I understand what I previously thought to be intimidating and difficult to a way that I understand. She is so patient with me, I know how long I am taking to learn even the most simple notes and reading music but she encourages me, she makes me feel confident that (even at my age) I can and will and am learning! I look forward to seeing her each week. I may also take voice lessons from her too soon!
I love my teacher! Heather has helped me in so many ways, even in the short time I have had her as my teacher. She has helped me work on ''rejoice greatly'' with the timing and some of the fancy work that you have to do in that song with your voice. And also on mozart's ''Allelujah'' she has helped me to refine some of the technique work involved with your voice also. She is going to teach me to cite read music, because i cannot at this time read the notes on sheet music when they are all goofed up on the page of music.
She is a very good teacher Heather has a very sweet temperament, she makes my shy daughter feel comfortable. We have only had 3 lessons and I have already seen so much improvement in her playing! I am very excited!
Feedback I think Heather is a good teacher.

Teaching Style
I teach both online and in person lessons here at my home studio. All of the lessons are individually planned for each student. As music is an expression of one's self, no 2 people learn the exact same way. All recitals are voluntary. If a student does not wish to participate, that is okay. Music, above all else, is for the musician. I have had many students over the years choose not to be in recitals.
when a student is first beginning lessons, it doesn't matter which instrument, it is really important that they learn to love what they are playing. If the student does not love what they are playing, it will be harder for the student to grow as a musician. Age doesn't matter either. Building the foundation is what is important.
Curriculum
The Method Books I use for Piano depend on the age and experience that they have with piano. Generally, the youngest I teach is 5 years old. Once a student reaches about Level 3, the selection of music becomes more of what they would like to learn. With the advent of online publishing, gone are the days where you had to buy a book for one song. It truly has opened up a new world of possibilities.
For Clarinet and Saxophone, if the student is in their school band, or any band for that matter, that music takes precedence always, especially when there is a playing test or an audition coming up. As for method books, there are several I use, again, it depends on how the student plays. For Voice lessons, I use so many different books that if a student was to purchase all the books I use, they would need a file cabinet like the four I have.
