Helia Azar

Helia Azar, was awarded outstanding talent prize in Fadjr International Festival three times in Tehran, Iran. She had the opportunity to work with so many great musicians in the United States, Canada, and Iran and also as a teacher at different universities and music institutes such as the University of Minnesota, Boise State University, and the University of Tehran. She has more than 15 years of experience in the music industry and teaching to students ranging from 2 up to 90 years old. She studied as a doctorate candidate in flute performance and teaching assistant at the University of Minnesota in the United States. She got her Master's degree in Music from Boise State University in the United States and her Bachelor's degree in Music from the University of Tehran. She strives to inspire her students with her genuine love for music and keeps the lessons engaging for her students. Her primary goal is to be responsive to her students’ pace and depth of learning. She believes that as a teacher it is crucial to adjust her teaching strategies and be flexible for each individual student. Her warmth and patience combined with structural lessons make the lessons fun while accuracy, technique, theory, and musicianship are significant parts of the lessons. 

I believe that everyone, regardless of age or background, has a passion for music. I try my best to create a joyful and positive environment where music lovers can learn naturally, just like their native language. I am committed to providing high-quality music lessons and believe it’s essential to make the learning experience enjoyable. My teaching approach is tailored to each individual student, which is why I offer a free trial lesson.
