Henri Benard is a dynamic musician and educator based in Phoenix, Arizona, best known as the drummer for Okilly Dokilly, the internationally recognized “Ned Flanders-themed metal band” that has toured worldwide and garnered a passionate fanbase. His explosive drumming and high-energy performances have been central to the band’s distinctive sound and cult success.
Beyond Okilly Dokilly, Benard is a driving force behind CHKLZ, named Best Dance Artist by Phoenix New Times in 2023, an performance art electronic duo blending live percussion with glitchy synths. He also performs with Dry River Yacht Club, a genre-bending ensemble fusing gypsy, western, folk, and rock influences, and has contributed to Fayuca and other local Arizona collaborations.
A committed educator, Benard has taught private lessons for over 15 years and has been involved with Mesa Community College’s music business program. His passion for mentoring young musicians complements his performance career, making him a respected figure both on stage and in the classroom.
