Herman Ramos

I'm originally from the DC metro area. My first dance training was breakdance. I battled and worked with Hip Hop styles until 2010 in Orlando, Florida. I received college dance education and training in Ballet and modern dance techniques, eventually receiving an MFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Florida State University in 2016. I shifted to a teaching focus and have spent the last decade teaching as an adjunct Professor for several colleges. I continue to create new works and train new dancers throughout Florida in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, and Various Hip Hop Styles. My current area of focus is in Jazz and Hip Hop dance, culture and history.

I am an experienced coach and mentor. My background education in dance history and kinesiology has given me an eye for technical training in all styles of dance. In particular, I have a knack for reaching dancers across various disciplines by bridging connections and language through codified techniques. I also train students for the transition from studio dance to professional or college level dance. I have extensive writing experience to help students with college applications in dance or even writing their first grant proposal for new work.

These skills also translate into the social dance market. I can coach and create wedding dances using any and all disciplines at my disposal. I can refine K-Pop routines or works for social media as well as providing advice on how to monetize these outlets.
