Howard Desselle

I’ve been playing drumset professionally and teaching private drum lessons for over 15 years. Proficient in all styles, I’ve performed in everything from rock cover bands and big band jazz to funk and Latin ensembles. My career has taken me to cities including New Orleans, Dallas, Atlanta, and across Mexico, where for the past five years I’ve been gigging full-time along the coast. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and a Master of Music from Northwestern State University in Louisiana, as well as a Drumset Performance degree from the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media.

I'm a very intuitive, enthusiastic, and passionate teacher. I tailor my approach to the needs of each indiviual student. I focus on groove and feel and listening.
