Teaching Style

Having studied piano performance in three different geographies (Azerbaijan, Norway and United States) with different teaching methods and approaches, I have been fortunate enough to have gained diverse performance skills which I incorporate into my individual teaching style.

I equip my students with all the available tools and techniques I have personally learned as a performer. I was trained both as a classical and a contemporary pianist, which gives me confidence to teach both standard repertoire and as well as music that is written in our time. I highly value positive curiosity in my students about how to make their individuality work for the development of their performance skills. This helps to build a trustworthy and healthy teaching-learning environment.

While always hoping to maintain a positive example for my students, I try my best to be as much of an inspiring teacher as possible. I enjoy building lifelong professional relationships and friendships with my students and supporting them with all I am capable of in their careers as performers.
