About
Hi!
I'm an experienced violin teacher who recently finished a Master's degree of Arts in Music at the University of Central Florida. I was awarded with the OPUS Scholarship, which allowed me to play as a sub member with the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra.
The most rewarding part of being a teacher is to explore each student's musical potential and to provide the necessary tools to expand their musical abilities and personal expression.
Teaching Style
I like to teach students how I teach myself, which is constantly revisiting my basics: bow grip, muscle relaxation and left hand dexterity. If those things are clear and functioning, almost anything else will easily become achievable. Music theory is in many cases a must for serious students who are not only working on their violin skills but in their musicianship overall.
Besides that, a priority is to approach music and violin performance in a positive mindset which allows the student to grow not only musically but also emotionally, as a person. After all, music making is about communication and self expression. Being so, a growing self esteem through discipline and endurance are part of the relationship with music.
