Ivar Stoiev

Hi, I’m Ivar Stoiev, a professional drummer and passionate music educator based in Canada.

I’ve been playing drums since 2004 and have performed with multiple rock bands in Ukraine, including recording a studio album “Як діти” (2020) with TOBI. I also took part in major Ukrainian music festivals such as Smila Rock Fest and Rock Sea (Odessa).

Since 2023, I’ve been performing with the New Beginnings Lutheran Church band in Regina, SK.

I’m a certified instructor through the Sabian Education Network (2024) and School of Rock (2024) programs and studied under professional drummers such as Maksym Deomin, Sam Rutenberg, Dom Famularo, and Thomas Lang.

Currently, I teach at School of Rock Regina, where I helped 20+ students of all levels — from first-time beginners to advanced players — master drumming technique, groove, coordination, and confidence behind the kit.

My lessons are practical, structured, and goal-oriented. We focus not only on how to play, but on how to think and feel like a musician.
