About

I am a pianist, arranger and music teacher with over 25 years of experience teaching piano, guitar and music theory.
My journey in music education began at the age of 21, at the Marist Center, an NGO where I had the privilege of teaching music to children between the ages of 7 and 14. There, I formed vocal and instrumental groups, with which we performed at Marist schools and at celebratory events, such as Champagnat's birthday. It was four years of deep learning about the power of music in human development.
Since the age of 18, I have been teaching private lessons and in groups linked to the church, which gave me a solid practical foundation and a human perspective on teaching. Over the years, I have taught at music schools, social projects and, later, at public institutions.
At the age of 24, I studied with the renowned bassist Giba Conceição and, at 27, I began my Bachelor's degree in Music. During my undergraduate studies, I taught on projects for the City Hall and at the FPL school, and after graduation, I took on the role of music teacher in the public school system in Esteio, having been approved by a public exam.
In 2013, I began studying with the maestro Edu Martins, winner of the Latin Grammy, with whom I began to collaborate as an assistant and transcriber. In 2019, I worked as a co-producer on the Sinatra 1915 project, transcribing and preparing scores. In 2020, I conceived and produced the tribute Soul of Wonder, dedicated to the work of Stevie Wonder.
My practical experience also includes accompanying and performing alongside artists such as Quinara Vizeu, Kênia Vizeu, Edu Martins, Antônio Flores, Julie Wein, Tuti Rodrigues (Latin Grammy), Lucas Fernandes and Aline Stoffel. I am very proud of my students, including names that have become notable professionals such as Roger Luz, Daniel (Kbça) and Gabriel Cardoso.
My teaching is centered on musical practice, developing each student's ear, technique and artistic sensitivity. I value accessible, progressive and personalized learning – respecting each student's time and goals.
I am here to help you follow your piano journey with confidence, clarity and inspiration.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is centered on musical practice from the first contact with the instrument. I believe that students learn best when they connect emotionally with the music they are playing, so I teach meaningful repertoires, respecting each student's taste and level. At the same time, I introduce the elements of music theory in a natural way, linking technical knowledge to practical experience. Teaching how to play by ear, developing musical perception and cultivating artistic sensitivity are pillars of my method.

I try to create a welcoming, motivating and uncomplicated learning environment. I work with realistic and progressive goals, respecting each student's pace, but always encouraging constant progress. I use personalized materials, digital tools, a varied repertoire and references from Brazilian and international music. Whether for beginners or musicians in training, my mission is to train conscious, expressive and musically independent instrumentalists.

Curriculum

My teaching method is focused on practice from the beginning. Each student builds a personalized repertoire, according to their current level. To advance to the next level, they are encouraged to perform a short recital with the songs they have studied — which can be recorded on video or performed live. This performance-based approach develops musicality, self-confidence and commitment to the instrument.

The classes are structured in three main parts: theory, technique and repertoire. We cater to students of different levels (beginner to advanced), adapting the content to each student's goals and musical style. Among the materials I recommend are the books Jazz for the Young Pianist by Oscar Peterson, the Leila Fletcher course, my own method based on these authors, as well as personalized scores and arrangements that we prepare for each student. We also use pieces from the books My Favorite Jazz and Unfamiliar, by Bill Cunliffe, especially to work on interpretation and jazz language.
