About
I am based on the Malteese island of Gozo but I originate from South East London in the UK where I went to Sedgehill Comprehensive School the same school as the rock band ' Status Quo' who were older than me but went to the guitar club there. Sedgehill School has now been converted into a music academy due to the success of its music students. I have been playing guitar for 40 years in groups most recently in Turkey where I played guitar for one of the UK's top Rod Stewart tribute acts whilst he was on tour there, I am also a solo artist playing popular instrumental songs in a classical style in restaurants around the Mediterranean as well as singing and playing guitar . I have performed in front of audience's of between 30 and 2,000. My album ' Jamie Play's Country' was recorded in Turkey and sold in UK. I am also a regular judge on Euro Stars music festival held each year on Malta, I was taught guitar at 'Cecil Sharp's music school in London have been teaching guitar on a face to face basis and online for 6 years, I have set up and run guitar clubs in several countries all of which are still running being looked after by my former students. I currently have 20 students on my register who have weekly lessons. They are across the World in UK, Turkey, Cyprus, Malta and Gozo.
