Reviews from Another Lesson Platform
Jason is a very patient and knowledgeable teacher and has greatly helped me take my first steps in learning the accordion.
Jason is awesome!! Just got done with my first lesson and he left me feeling empowered and excited about learning more. I highly recommend Jason!
Jason is patient and gives immediate feedback - both essential qualities for a teacher of a senior citizen!
Very knowledgeable and pleasant teacher!
I always have a great lesson with Jason.
I absolutely LOVE training with Jason! He is a pleasure and very patient. I know most teachers get impatient with their students. Not Jason. He's encouraging and I've come to love my instrument more and more thanks to Jason. I will see if I can have my son study music with him as well.
Awesome and kind human being as well as a teacher and musician!
He's the best teacher! I would recommend Jason to anyone and everyone! I really felt like I was able to make mistakes and not be worried. Some teachers push perfection and are very rigid. Jason makes the classes super fun! I can't wait for my next class.
A really professional teacher: he knows exactly what to teach, in a pedagogical way: excellent! Also a nice person to meet, always respectful and charming: I enjoyed the classes we had a lot and looking forward for more.
My classical guitar skills were greatly improved under Jason's teaching. He provides good recourses that match students interests. He cares how his students are doing in both music and in life. Thank you Jason!
I look forward to taking more lessons.
He was very understanding and patient with me, especially when I stopped seeing progress in my proficiency. Even when my parents couldn't pay anymore, he still was very gracious and helpful with resources I could use to learn more on my own.
No son really loves these classes and is learning so much! Thank you!!
Jason is an awesome and super-friendly teacher. Would strongly recommend for anyone!
Very encouraging and guides me per my interests, capabilities and aspiration.
Amazing! Helped me learn the basics and work on the timing, reading notes, and finger placement. Still leaning from Jason even now!
Very good introduction to reading music
Delightful lessons! Makes learning extremely easy! And fun!
Really nice guy and great teacher
Jason is really great with our 8 year old, even when he's fidgety at the computer. Great knowledge of the accordion and we're very happy so far!
No complaints!
Jason is one of the best music teachers I have ever studied under. He is down-to-earth, friendly, and approachable. I highly recommend him!
Jason is such a kind and patient teacher! I was a little nervous to take classes virtually, but he makes the sessions so productive and I've learned a lot. I would recommend taking accordion lessons with Jason!
Jason is a genuine instructor, passionate about his students by offering encouragement, helpful advice on not just playing the instrument, but also on technical issues with the instrument. He is a down to earth, kind soul and I am grateful to have found him as an online teacher.
We’ve tried a several different teachers and instruments over the years (and I’m a past music teacher myself) and Jason has been a great fit for my son. My son appreciates how supportive and understanding he is. I appreciate how accessible and responsive he is and all that he does to support my son’s growth and learning. Highly recommend!
Jason has made learning the accordion very accessible. He is personable, easy to follow and over all wonderful to learn from.
First Lesson Went Very Well, Looking forward to learning more!!
My son, 15, takes accordion and now harmonica with Jason online. He has found Jason friendly, nice and very encouraging. (His words.) Jason always takes the lessons at a good pace and slows down when he needs to slow down. He looks forward to his lessons. As mom- Jason has helped me a lot! My son’s accordion broke and Jason rolled easily to something affordable (harmonica) while we try to find a replacement. Jason has helped me with administration of the lessons thru the ****** site. And sent me reminders as needed. Quick to respond and always a pleasure -!we appreciate Jason so much.
Jason has been an amazing accordion teacher for our 11 year old son and we are so thankful to have found him. Online lessons have been super easy and convenient. Jason has been fun, engaging, patient and encouraging… all of which have made this a wonderful learning experience for our son. It’s been a joy to see the progress he has made in just a few months.
Jason is a great accordion teacher. He works with me at my pace and is very encouraging. I didn't think it would be possible to learn to play online but Jason makes it work and I really enjoy working with him.
If you are looking for an exceptionally kind and encouraging teacher, look no further than Jason. Not only has he done a terrific job of introducing my daughters to their new instruments (harp and accordion), but he's also helped them understand how to apply their previous piano knowledge in new and confidence-boosting ways. Add in studio cats and a shared appreciation for Lord of the Rings, and I couldn't think of a better match for us. We highly recommend Jason!
Jason is very encouraging and patient. He is clear in his explanation and gives me many useful tips. I always look forward and enjoy his lessons. Thank you for teaching me and helping me improve, Jason.
Very patient and funny! Rather reltable on many levels and sometimes I forget it's a lesson because of how fun it is lol.
I feel like I lucked out with such a great harp teacher. I had a hard time finding a local teacher and those were sporadic at just simply not even returning phone calls. Jason has been well worth the time and money. I never dreamed online lessons would be so convenient and easy to take. Even putting on a new string was something he educated us on from the computer. Awesome teacher and skills on so many different instruments, even building his own harps, etc. I would highly recommend his lessons, and he didn't even have the most expensive lessons. Whatever he charges, he will be worth it for you.
I am so thankful for The Lord leading me to Jason. He is so patient and kind. He plays many instruments, as I do, and I am looking forward to learning a little more on them, too! Check out Jason’s YouTube channel too. I’m enjoying it. Thanks Jason for teaching me, and sharing our deep love for the Lord Jesus Christ.
I started taking accordion lessons with Jason online when I had trouble finding a local teacher, and it's been great! He's patient and encouraging and meets his students where they are.
Jason is fantastic. I’ve gone through several different music teachers and he is by far the best. He is patient, understanding, and fun to work with. If you’re looking for a virtual harp teacher, you’ll get that and more with Jason!
I signed up for lessons hoping to get the guidance, encouragement and motivation I needed to improve my accordian playing. Jason provides all that in a low-key method of instruction that fits perfectly with my style of learning and playing. I work to improve for each lesson knowing that he will positively critique my progress and applaud my effort.
Jason is a great instructor who is very patient with my granddaughter. Her lessons are coming right along. Jason is a joy to work with and I highly recommend his services.
Jason delivers an excellent experience for this novice guitar player! He is one of those types of people who were born to teach. I am really enjoying this experience much more than I thought I would on line.
Loved the experience. His advice and lessons match with your knowledge, so he is never explaining something you that you do not know. With him, he was very informative and caring. I had no prior musical experience, but he was very caring and slow-going to ensure I knew everything. He wraps every lesson with a recap, and what I could do until next time we meet (like practices). Great man.
Jason is a really great and understanding teacher. Incredibly friendly and encouraging, I look forward to my lessons every week.
Jason is a great instructor who cares. He always tries to build you up, focusing on your strengths and capabilities. When he addresses weaknesses, it always gently and compassionately.
Jason is a skilled music guide. He adds his experience to increase my knowledge. His warm guidance helps to make the lessons rewarding. I look forward to our time together.
Jason is very welcoming, caring, patient and I never feel judged. He is always supportive and seems to have the right timing to help me when I am struggling to master something. My goal is to enjoy learning and playing and he creates that atmosphere. Wonderful teacher and person.
Jason is a great instructor, really knows how to communicate and teach to the students ability. I was in my mid 30s and decided to learn the guitar, he did great. Thanks Jason
Jason is a fabulous teacher. I was not going to take lessons unless I could find someone to teach me who is patient, easy to understand and fun to learn from. Jason is the perfect teacher. He knows how to teach and is so personable that I look forward to each lesson. I'm learning so much from Jason that I can't imagine taking lessons from anyone else. He is a Godly man and I am so blessed to have him teach me guitar.
Jason is a kind, patient, and helpful teacher. I feel I am making good progress towards my goals.
Having Jason as a teacher as been a blessing. He is such a good and wonderful teacher, every class is fun and of course you you always learn something new!
I decided to wait until retirement to begin taking accordion lessons so that my brain would be stretched and resistant as possible to learning something new. I’m so glad I found Jason who is patient, friendly, and has a genuine love for music. Jason has a vast knowledge of many instruments and music but is able to motivate and inspire an adult beginner like me. I’d recommend Jason to anyone who wants to play accordion regardless of their age or skill level.
I started taking dulcimer lessons a few years ago - it has been amazing! One of the biggest things that stood out was his love for the Lord, and his love for people. Right from the beginning, when I didn't even know which instrument I wanted to play, Jason was very patient, playing many different instruments and giving me helpful info. so I could make a wise choice. Always encouraging, never pressuring, not expecting perfection - "Practice makes better." He wasn't just a teacher, he (along with his wife) was a friend with an understanding heart. Thank you Jason!!! Be Blessed!!!
My daughter has taken piano lessons from Jason both in-studio and online for the past few years. He is a great teacher, patient and understanding! She looks forward to her lessons each week!
Jason recently begin tin whistle lessons to a retired adult and her grandson. He tailors his delivery so we each can teach the other person told to only one of us. We like that he models each warm up exercise and song so that we benefit both from ear training and music note recognition. The amount of practice assigned each week yields an experience of success and forward momentum. I appreciate his answers to questions since I have less formal musical training than does my grandson. What a good teacher across the generations! Stoked to learn more!
Love Jason's personality. Very nurturing and encouraging for students. Love the fact that he teaches several instruments so that a student can mix it up as well with another interest. I have the pleasure of currently taking accordion lessons. Highly recommend!
I have known Jason for several years, and he definitely is a gifted musician. I have enjoyed hearing him play on several different instruments, showing great style and joy in what he does. To top it off, he is a very nice person!!! I highly recommend Jason as a teacher! You won't regret it!!!!
Jason is always extremely friendly, on time, and loves to adapt his lessons to students needs. He was compassionate and really listened to my struggles with scheduling and getting in enough practice.
I have always dreamed of playing a guitar, so grateful that a friend recommended Jason to me! Had an awesome experience! Online lessons are soo convenient!! Definitely recommend Jason!
I would highly recommend Jason as piano teacher! He has helped me a lot with proper technique and sight reading. Also appreciate the Christian approach to life and music!
Jason is a great teacher. I appreciated the Christian atmosphere.
I tried learning how to play the guitar for about a year by watching YouTube videos and different coarses online and was just not getting anywhere. I learned more in my first couple lessons with Jason than I did that year on my own. I would definitely recommend!
Jason is very passionate for the accordion teaching. He really helped me to learn and guided me to the right direction. He is very patient instructor. Also he plays the basic melody first. Then he adds variations of that. It makes my learning really fun and effective. I high Y recommend Jason to teach accordion. Thank you Jason.
Jason is a wonderful and encouraging teacher. It is a treat for me when we have a lesson. Jason is personable, we enjoy pleasant conversations and he always manages to teach me something new. I am enjoying our giggles. I highly recommend him to anyone wishing to improve their enjoyment of music.
Jason is a phenomenal teacher! I would highly recommend him to anyone new or experienced in music.
Jason gave guitar lessons to our 2 children in home for 1 year. We really enjoyed having him. They not only developed musical skills but a love for music and our Lord.
We have had Jason to teach us for a few years already and I can’t recommend him enough. Our son and daughter started out with piano lessons and thoroughly enjoyed it.. we’re amazed at their progress and over time they’ve added accordion, harp, Merlin dulcimer and other instruments to their collection and Jason helps them learn whatever they take an interest in.. always encouraging them and helping them have joy in the journey instead of being frustrated at what they haven’t achieved yet. ... we never end a lesson feeling discouraged but rather inspired to keep enjoying the process Jason is such a talented teacher, mentor and friend.
Jason is a very talented instructor who is totally dedicated to his students success! He has a real passion for teaching which is evidenced in the quality of each individualized lesson. Excellent experience! Highly recommended.
Jason has been my piano teacher for a few years now, and has helped me learn so much, even though I don’t have very much time for lessons! I also consider him one of my mentors in Christ, and he has guided me through some rough times. Thanks Jason!
Jason has tutored my son (8) and daughter (6) for the last six months, back-to-back for an hour. He has incredible enthusiasm throughout and the kids are picking up so much, so quickly. Our kids love him and look forward to their lessons every week. As parents, we're genuinely amazed by their progress in such a short amount of time. Jason is a terrific tutor and an overall warm and genuinely caring person.
Jason is THE BEST teacher. He's personable and friendly, not at all intimidating, and has music skillz. He's also really good at not just teaching the music as written, but also encouraging interpretation and improvisation. Additionally, he has lots of fun, helpful little tricks and tips to make it easier to (for example) change chords or play a song with less movement of the hands. Also, he has 2 cats who might occasionally drop in. 10/10, would learn again!
Jason's joy for playing music is infectious. He teaches with a love of music that not only inspires and accelerates learning but gives you the motivation to keep improving. While Jason has a broad expertise in music and a variety of musical instruments, He excels in improvisation and personal creativity, practical application of music theory, and growing one's motor skills and general understanding. Additionally, he is excellent about understanding your personal goals and meeting you where you are, making him a fantastic resource for whatever level one might be. Plus, he is just a really kind guy to be around and genuinely cares about his students' wellbeing and growth! Definitely recommend!
Many in my family have taken lessons with Jason. His love for music is very contagious! We appreciate how he is able to think outside the box and adapt to any learning style with ease. Also, I’m always amazed at how he can turn the simplest of songs into a musical masterpiece- and then gives us tips and pointers to do the same! I’ve had many wonderful teachers over the years, but I’ve grown the most (musically), with Jason. Lessons are always inspiring and he never makes me feel bad if I make mistakes. He knows how to make music fun! Over the years I’ve wanted to play various instruments (piano, harp, dulcimer, & accordion), and he was right there to encourage and help me each step of the way. He is gifted in ALL those instruments and more! Jason is amazing and one of a kind. If you take lessons with him, you will learn to absolutely LOVE music!
I have been taking online violin lessons for nearly one year and it has been a great experience. Jason is very encouraging, he works with your schedule, and is very helpful in suggesting new types of styles and songs.
I've been taking piano lessons from Jason for several years. He is very patient and encouraging. He also knows how to make things lighthearted and fun. He also genuinely cares about his students. I'm really happy to have a teacher like him. I would definitely recommend anyone that wants to learn to take lessons from him.
Jason has taught piano lessons for our children and does a great job! He takes a personal interest in each child’s life beyond just the music!
Jason is the best piano teacher online! He is kind , gentle , patient and knowledgeable. He is truly gifted, if you need lessons please book with Jason today!
Jason is a fantastic teacher! My children have been learning piano with Jason since September of 2020. In a little over a year, they have surpassed many goals and Jason has blown away my expectations. My children began learning with books, but now they have become so confident in playing that they love to make up their own piano compositions in their free time! He is a very gentle and encouraging instructor. He is extremely patient and reasurring to my children which gives them that boost of confidence to keep going even when they make a mistake. He is punctual and always ready to begin class on time. He loves to reward my children by showing them and playing one of his many instruments. He also loves to share his sweet kitties which my children adore! He is funny, friendly, and inviting! If you are looking for a piano teacher for your children who is also God-fearing, look no further. You will not be disappointed!
Rated this class 5 stars.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is one in which I seek to be not just a teacher but also a coach. By this I mean that I want to help develop and bring out the love and gift of music in my students. I desire to inspire through my example and help the student to learn at their interest and level. This means that as I teach I put myself in the shoes of my students,
I treat each student as an individual and want them to learn to play music in the style that they enjoy. I am also experienced teaching international students and love to learn about new cultures and musical ideas. Children really enjoy our lessons too as we not only learn the essentials of music but also explore favorites such as Disney songs or great themes like Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, LOTR, etc. This is great fun! :)
I am a teacher who desires students with enthusiasm to learn. I am willing to work with all levels of gifting and am not a teacher who will make a student feel bad about mistakes, as I believe they are the secret to learning. J.S. Bach said the music was given for two purposes: the glory of God and the recreation of the human soul. I see music as a universal language because it spans all spoken languages and culture. Although I teach at an advanced level in piano, my special gift is in teaching beginning students who are inspired to learn music for themselves by my love of music and the diversity of instruments that I play and teach.
