About
I'm a professional music producer and touring playback engineer who has worked on GRAMMY-winning records and major live performances around the world. I help producers and artists improve their production skills, mixes, and workflow using real techniques from professional studio and touring environments.
Teaching Style
I’m a music producer, engineer, keyboardist, and playback specialist with more than 15 years of experience in both studio and live performance environments. I have worked professionally with artists including H.E.R., Charlie Puth, Janelle Monáe, and Teyana Taylor as a playback engineer, keyboardist, and music producer. My live work has included major festivals, television performances, and award shows, as well as venues across the United States and internationally.
As a playback engineer and live music specialist, I have built and run playback systems for large-scale productions using Ableton Live. I have worked on performances at major events including Coachella, Lollapalooza, and television appearances on programs such as The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Saturday Night Live. My work has also included studio production and music for commercial and sync placements, including projects for Gucci and Jordan Brand.
I have been teaching music for many years, beginning with private piano lessons while I was still in high school. Since then, I have taught students in piano, music production, songwriting, recording, mixing, and live performance technology. I currently teach beginner and intermediate music production students through my own program, 87 Sound Academy, where I have designed structured courses in both creative music production and technical audio fundamentals for students ages 12–19.
My teaching style is calm, practical, and beginner-friendly. I focus on helping students understand why something works, not just what buttons to press. I believe students learn best when they feel safe to experiment, ask questions, and build confidence step by step.
