Jennifer Armstrong

Jennifer began learning the fiddle when she was 7 years old and had the incredible opportunity of learning from musical friends of her parents including; Michael Gorman, Fiddler Bob Beers and Alistair Bain. She played with the Berea College Country Dancers when she was in college and played for dances at the Folk School when she lived there in 1980-81. She has been teaching fiddle online since Covid days when she discovered it actually works quite well! Jennifer moved back to Asheville in 2023 and is thrilled to be back in the Folk School family.
