Jennifer Gorman
About
Jennifer is an Japanese American pianist, accordionist and translator based in Japan. Experienced in teaching toddlers to adult. She has been playing on cruise lines since 2022 as a pianist, and as an accordionist she is attending klezmer workshops in Europe annually and recognized as a specialist in klezmer and jazz in Japan.
Teaching Style
If the student has a goal we will work on it in the best way for them. If they are not sure how to pitch on, I will introduce them many different kind of music/approaches until we find a good one for that person. It is not weird to have no goals or having a vague idea about what to play, and I hope I can be not just a teacher but someone who introduces different ideas and music to each student. I am able to do lessons for piano and accordion in English and Japanese.
Also, since I was a cruise ship musician I am able to do a lesson spicificly for being a cruise ship musician.
Curriculum
Recommended to students that are; beginners, intermediate who are starting to feel like exploring more, students who want to learn music and study Japanese, students who want to be a professional cruise ship musician.
