Jenny Fullwood

Hello! My name is Jenny and I'm a professional singer and Certified voice teacher. I've enjoyed teaching voice students for over 15 years. Beginning piano lessons at age 4 and voice lessons at age 12, I have over 20 years of formal voice and music training and I've been performing for over 30 years. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Oklahoma in 2003 , where I studied speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. I later continued my voice education with voice teacher, Justin Stoney, of New York  Vocal Coaching, and am a graduate of the New York Vocal Coaching Voice Teacher Certification Program.  My education, combined with years of vocal training, knowledge of vocal pedagogy, and my personal vocal journey of learning to sing different styles, has given me a first hand understanding of how to successfully cross-train the voice in a variety of styles.

My performance experience includes solo performance, musical theatre, local and national vocal competitions, high-school and collegiate ensembles and choirs, and traveling the U.S. with vocal and theatre groups. I've also served in ministry as a worship leader, soloist, youth and adult choir director, and vocal instructor for several large churches. 

I am fully devoted to the craft and calling of voice teaching and am committed to my students’ personal and professional vocal journeys.  I believe that singers are capable of singing multiple styles of music - from classical to contemporary. My teaching approach blends the rich foundation provided by classical technique with a strong understanding of the techniques and stylizations related to contemporary pop/rock/R&B music and Broadway.  My vocal exercises and lessons are tailor-made for each individual student, starting at your first lesson. Having had many different voice teachers throughout my life, I decided to be the voice teacher I wished I had when I was a teenager going through difficult seasons with my ever-changing voice. I now I have the amazing privilege of teaching and mentoring singers of all ages and abilities!
