Jhoan García

Highly skilled Chicago-based trumpeter, Jhoan García brings orchestral precision, lyrical phrasing, and expressive versatility to every lesson. He earned an Artist Diploma from TCU and a Master of Music from the University of Houston, and is currently advancing his training with a Performance Certificate at DePaul University. As former principal trumpet of the Bogotá Symphony, Jhoan has also performed with orchestras including Omaha, Sarasota, and Nashville, and appears on the festival and chamber music circuits. Equally at home in Latin American and commercial styles, he also plays professionally with the Peoria Symphony Orchestra. Jhoan’s personalized lessons are suitable for all levels and combine fun, efficiency, and strong technique.
