Jillian is an extremely knowledgeable, skilled, and patient singing teacher. She is flexible regarding my goals and capabilities. And she has a wealth of materials and tools to facilitate her lessons.

I took lessons from Jillian for about a year. She has helped immensely with my singing, correcting wrong habits I learned in the past and explaining why so. While initially I started singing songs that I liked, she gave me confidence to start singing my own songs. She's very patient and cheerful, so I'd totally recommend to anyone interested in improving!

Jillian is truly extraordinary. When I agreed to let my 5yo at the time take singing lessons I was skeptical there would be anyone who would be able to teach someone so young but from lesson 1 Jillian has blown us away. My now 7 year old is engaged in every lesson, knows her basic music sounds, can recognize melodies by their music notes and everyone is impressed when they hear my daughter sing. Our six year old daughter had Jillian as a Piano Teacher for over six months. We found that our daughter was quite engaged and excited about playing piano, we are very impressed with Jillian‘s enthusiastic and patient teaching. We would highly recommend Jillian to other parents looking for piano instruction for their kids. We saw quite good progression of our daughter’s skills as well, which was very gratifying. Although, at first, we were concerned about the online aspect of the teaching, it worked quite well for us, and Jillian was very good with interacting with our daughter.

We had a great experience with Jillian. My daughter was very shy with high anxiety and wouldn’t even sing for us, but something about Jillian’s sweet demeanor and the privacy of her own room gave her the confidence to start singing. One day she was singing in the car to the radio and said “mom, before voice lessons I couldn’t even hit these notes and now I can!”

Jillian has taught piano to both of our daughters. She was our first piano teacher for both of our girls and we used her to introduce piano to them. She is a gifted pianist and a singer and is an incredible teacher. Our daughters loved their classes with her. She is patient, encouraging and very good in dealing with kids that makes them feel comfortable in online sessions. She makes the piano lessons fun while keeping the focus on fundamentals of learning notes. Our daughters are always eager to join her piano lessons. She is also great with technology and never had problems with online Zoom classes. She has also been very flexible with us in re-scheduling classes amidst any conflicts which we really appreciate. Jillian has the best personality to work with kids. My 7yo and 4yo both have worked with her and she is patient, understanding, motivating, and creative and tactful in her teaching. She is awesome at reeling kids' attention back in. She is also honest when she feels a song might be too hard or too easy for the child and she is completely open to parent feedback. My daughter feels 100% comfortable with Jillian. I was doubtful she'd open up, especially virtually, but Jillian has made her feel comfortable. I highly recommend you give Jillian a try!

I had always hoped to someday learn how to sing. Two years ago, I took some lessons with Jillian that were part of a birthday present, and I was so impressed with her teaching style and her patience, that I continued taking lessons. We would start each lesson with warmups then go right into the songs that I had chosen and I would learn to sing them with her help and guidance. She would break the songs down and ensure I was singing each word and line properly. Her beautiful voice was easy to follow as I learned many different songs from artists such as Bing Crosby to Mariachi songs from Antonio Aguilar. I looked forward to my weekly lessons. Jillian helped me learn what my voice could do, especially in my high range. She was always timely, and used technology seamlessly over the internet regardless of where she was located. I highly recommend Jillian as your next music instructor.

Jillian is an intuitive teacher who can easily mold to her student's learning style, needs, and goals, while also being assertive enough to provide needed structure and technique instruction. She has mastered this balance and is the main reason I love her. Not to mention, the nicest lady ever! Aside from her personality, her music knowledge is from a collegiate background so she knows her stuff, and she has traveled abroad a lot, giving herself opportunities to pick up new and exciting styles of musical ideas along the way. I've seen her dissect musical parts with just her ear, demonstrate music theory knowledge, and actual instrumental talents are enchanting, especially her voice! I highly recommend!

I had played piano for years when I was young, but then took a very long hiatus. I knew I wanted to jump back into playing, but I was extremely nervous. In 2020, I decided to jump back in and I was placed with Jillian as my instructor. She made me feel so comfortable and motivated to begin my piano learning again. As a student who attends weekly and who has done so for over a year, I wanted to tell you my experience with Jilian has been nothing short of stellar. - She makes me feel comfortable in my learning - She tailors her teachings to accommodate her students. Through working with her, we have discovered when it comes to piano, I am more of an auditory learner, instead of more visual - She has helped me see musical expression in different lights. Meaning, just because a song is written a certain way, doesn't mean we can't explore other ways of playing it. I was never taught that way before from my other piano instructors, and it's opening me up for more creativity - I have noticed a consistent growth in my musical abilities since working with her. I am very thankful she is my teacher. It is no surprise to me she earned the Best Teacher Award of 2022. I look forward to class every week.

Miss Jillian is a fantastic piano teacher. I was hesitant about online lessons and am SO glad I had my kids give it a shot. Jillian has no problem keeping them engaged, on task, progressing and having fun week after week. I am blown away with how much both my kids are learning. Jillian truly cares about my children and genuinely gets to know them. She remembers details about their lives and uses those details to connect during their lessons.
