Jillian Finnamore

Hi!

My name is Jillian Finnamore. An internationally acclaimed opera singer, I perform often in Germany, the US, and the UK. In 2023, I debuted at English National Opera in London, performing the leading role of Marietta/Marie in the opera DIE TOTE STADT/THE DEAD CITY. Currently, I am once again in London to sing Woglinde and the 3rd Norn in Regents Opera's Ring Cycle.  Next up will be the role of Turandot, also in London. I reside in Berlin and commute regularly between the three countries. 

As a teacher, it is important to me to get to the heart of what each of my students need. I am also a double-credentialed Reiki Master and Alexander-Technique infused practitioner and have spent a lifetime learning and practicing the integration of vocal technique, emotions, physicality, mind, and energy. 

The focus of the lessons is you--your goals, intentions, and desires.  Supporting you--the whole person--in expressing your voice in the most fulfilling  way possible. 

I am very empathetic and believe that all students can achieve their goals with the right kind of help.  My focus will always be helping you achieve your goals. There are many different kinds of technique--solid vocal technique as the baseline. 

The question is: how do we achieve solid vocal technique?

We take the whole voice and apply it up and down the apparatus. As in, aligned and secure vocal technique also includes clearing cellular patterns, emotions, and thought processes that hinder solid vocal expression. This is wonderful work and part of the expansive creative process of being a fantastic singer.

Technical, musical, linguistic, mental, emotional, and energetic are all part of living and growing as a magnetic artist.
