John-Francis Nnadi
About
My name is John-Francis Nnadi, and I am a music producer, composer, and educator with a background in Computer Science from Nnamdi Azikiwe University. My technical studies helped me understand audio systems, digital signal processing, and workflow design, which strengthened the way I approach music creation.
My production catalog includes “Fans,” released on 26 October 2022, where I worked as the producer and composer. The track is available across major platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Audiomack, and YouTube. My catalog has reached more than 621,000 streams in 2025 alone, according to my Muso.AI Encore recap. I primarily work in afrobeats, R&B, hip hop, and pop, and continue to collaborate with independent artists in Nigeria and internationally.
I enjoy helping artists and producers unlock their potential, refine their sound, and grow confidently in their craft.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is structured, patient, and highly personalized. I focus on helping each student understand both the creative and technical sides of music. I simplify complex ideas so that beginners can grow quickly while still giving advanced students the detail and depth they need. I aim to make every lesson practical and results-oriented, so students leave with new skills they can apply immediately in their projects.
Curriculum
I teach through real projects -- your demos, your recordings, your beats. We’ll cover vocal warm-ups, songwriting, DAW basics, mixing essentials, and whatever you personally want to get better at. No heavy textbooks, just your DAW, a notebook, and your voice or ideas.
Although these resources support what we will cover in lessons and help students progress faster:
• The Mixing Engineer’s Handbook by Bobby Owsinski
• Music Theory for Computer Musicians by Michael Hewitt
• The Songwriter’s Workshop: Harmony by Jimmy Kachulis
• The Art of Digital Audio Recording by Steve Savage
• Basic DAW guides for FL Studio, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, or Pro Tools, depending on the student’s preferred software
If a student does not have any books yet, I provide custom lesson materials and simplified guides so they can start immediately.
