About

I’ve worked with artists like Kendrick Lamar, Daniel Caesar, 42 Dugg, Orion Sun and Robert Glasper, and composed music for Apple TV+, Hulu, and Riot Games. I tour internationally, with performances at Coachella, Lollapalooza, NPR’s Tiny Desk, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. With over 15 years of teaching experience, I offer lessons in guitar, bass, music production, and songwriting across genres from classical and jazz to hip-hop and R&B.

Teaching Style

My approach to teaching is all about building a strong foundation with purpose. I emphasize learning fundamentals and music theory in a way that directly connects to real, usable skills. I believe in teaching concepts in the right order, so each step supports long-term success and confidence.

Every student is different, which is why I create a unique, personalized curriculum tailored to their goals, experience, and learning style. At the same time, I maintain a core structure that ensures all students gain the essential knowledge and techniques to make anything they want to learn easier and more intuitive over time.

My ultimate goal is for students to truly understand what they’re learning and to be able to apply it creatively and independently, not just memorize songs they’ll eventually forget. Whether you’re looking to write, produce, perform, or just play for fun, I’ll help you build the tools to make music your own.
