I've got virtually no background/experience with music. I’ve always thought learning Ableton would be too overwhelming but I decided to try lessons with Jonah before scrapping the entire aspiration. It’s been a few months since my first lesson and I have yet to feel overwhelmed thanks to Jonah’s teaching approach. I actually love the learning process and am constantly inspired and excited to learn more. He is an incredible teacher and clearly passionate about music. Anyone can learn a skill but not everyone should teach it. Jonah should absolutely teach.

Jonah has been incredibly responsive, flexible and an engaging teacher. Our teen has learned and grown in his playing and Jonah is always up for working on his latest struggle or interest. The online platform has worked well for us, as well.

I've been taking lessons for a little over 2 yeara, and what I love the most about Jonah is that he's so flexible. Not only does he respond quickly to communication and schedule changes, he is also willing to change up the lesson plan if something isn't working or is too difficult. He is very supportive as well, and encourages you to practice without being incredibly demanding. Overall, best teacher I've ever had.

Jonah brought me to the door of Guitar and helped me with building the fundamental skill set of playing. I was a beginner, I am still are. His teaching is fabulous - focusing on your needs, building connections, being patient, and encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone. 200% highly recommended!

I've been taking lessons with Jonah for 6 years now (4th-10th grade) and the experience has been amazing! With Jonah's help, I have learned so much about the guitar, both in technical aspects and in simply "jamming." Jonah is always very patient, kind, encouraging, and his passion for music very clearly shows in his teaching. Every lesson I take is very enjoyable, and I always come out of the lessons feeling like I have made good progress on whatever it was we were working on that week. Whether you wish to learn about complex music theory and lead guitar (like I am currently doing), or just want to learn how to play a few songs, Jonah is a perfect choice as a teacher. Additionally, Jonah is very communicative and flexible with timing. Whenever I need to cancel or reschedule a lesson for whatever reason, Jonah responds to my messages quickly and is almost always able to find another day that week for our lesson to take place on. 5 stars, fantastic teacher, I highly recommend Jonah!

Johah is very patient and flexible. He identifies and is willing to work on techniques, such as barre chords, in a way that finally helps me to stop the buzzing! I am looking forward to working with him.

Jonah is an incredibly patient and encouraging teacher. My friend and I take group lessons with Jonah and are at different skill levels, and Jonah is accommodating to each of us. Lessons are based around our preferences and we have both come a long way in a short time. Jonah is as good a teacher as he is a guitarist.

So far we have had 3 lessons with Jonah. He has been patient and friendly with my daughter who sometimes gets distracted and difficult. He has been able to keep her engaged and interested. And after only 3 lessons, he has taught her how to play one of her favorite songs. So far he has been fantastic.

I started playing guitar at age 10 but had let it go over the past couple decades. Eager to re-learn the instrument, I recently started taking lessons with Jonah Rosenthal and he's fantastic. Exactly the kind of teacher I was looking for - thorough, creative, encouraging, and most important - patient. I can't recommend him highly enough, for someone just starting out on the guitar or a lapsed player like me.

I've been playing guitar (on and off) for over 50 years. I read Jonah's post about 3 months ago and decided to call Jonah for lessons. I had been feeling very rusty and wanted to polish my skills and learn some new songs. I've already learned a lot from Jonah and my guitar playing sounds much better in every way. Jonah has been great to work with, he is easy-going, fun and most importantly, he's a great teacher.
