Hello! I have my Master's Degree in Performance of Early Music from New England Conservatory . I majored in recorder. I've been on the faculty at All Newton Music School in piano and recorder for over 30 years. As a composer I have 2 solo recordings of original compositions on Titanic Records. Blake Songs and Other Works Music of Jonathan Lovenstein Vol 1 and Vol 2. I'm a very patient teacher and I gave a fun approach .
Teaching Style
Hello there! The recorder is a beautiful instrument! I've given recorder recitals in Boston with harpsichord and viola da gamba. I've performed trio sonatas with baroque oboe and baroque violin. I have my Master's Degree in Performance of Early Music from New England Conservatory. I have a fun approach! I concentrate on light tongueing, tone quality, correct breathing and a sense of relaxation with the instrument. i like to focus on Baroque music but any style is fine! I encourage duet playing and playing with keyboard!
I'm very encouraging and patient! And I try to find music that students really want to play!
