About
Hello! My name is Josiah Nelson, I am a fiddle and mandolin teacher as well as a professional touring musician. I have been teaching on lessonface for a few years now and recently started teaching fiddle and mandolin at East Tennessee State University.
I have over a decade of professional experience playing and teaching bluegrass. In the past I played fiddle and mandolin with The Tray Wellington Band as well as The Lazy B Wranglers. Currently, I play fiddle as a member of Mountain Grass Unit.
Looking forward to working with you to further your musicianship.
Teaching Style
One-on-one instruction. I prefer to teach directly to my students to create a safe and comfortable environment for all skill levels. I like to find out what you are doing right and emphasize those things as well as pinpoint where you might need help. My hope is to help you find your voice on your instrument!
