Julia Schorn
About
I am a classically trained harpist with over 18 years of experience of performing a wide range of music including popular, contemporary, religious, and classical. I primarily studied with Sheila Sterling of the San Diego Symphony. At Princeton University, I minored in Harp Performance where I studied with Elaine Christy. I've played with the International Space Orchestra, Kid Cudi, The Avalanches, and others.
Teaching Style
My goal is to uplift and encourage students to play their best. I aim to spread my love for the harp through others, and I am motivated by my students' progress. I have experience teaching adult intermediate harpists, harpists on the spectrum, and beginners. My Ph.D. background in learning and memory enhances my music-teaching techniques and improves student learning.
