I’m Katarina, an experienced and dedicated piano teacher with a passion for helping students of all ages and skill levels achieve their musical goals. I have years of teaching experience, having worked with both children and adults in various educational settings, including private lessons and group sessions. I aim to create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel inspired and confident in their musical journey.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and student-centered. I believe in tailoring lessons to each individual’s unique learning needs and interests, ensuring that every student feels challenged, but also successful. I incorporate a variety of teaching methods, balancing technical development with creativity, and focusing on building a strong foundation in music theory, ear training, and sight-reading.
Curriculum
I use a comprehensive approach to piano teaching, combining classical techniques with modern, engaging methods. My lessons often include a mix of classical repertoire, music theory exercises, and fun, interactive activities designed to keep students motivated and engaged.
I believe in the value of setting performance goals and encouraging students to participate in competitions and recitals. These opportunities not only help students build confidence but also offer valuable performance experience. Many of my students have participated and earned top prizes in national and international piano competitions.
Credentials & Affiliations
I am a graduate of the University of Niš in Serbia, where I earned both a Bachelor and Master's degree in Piano Performance. I am also a recipient of prestigious scholarships, including the ‘Dositeja’ Fund for Young Talents Scholarship and the Republic of Serbia Scholarship.
I am a full-time piano teacher at a music school in Serbia (Muzička škola "Kornelije Stanković) since November 2020, specializing in working with children. I am committed to providing the best possible education for my students, continually expanding my expertise through professional development. I have completed numerous courses, including Digital Learning and Outcome-Based Teaching, to ensure I stay current with the latest educational practices.
