About
I am a New York–based vocal coach and musical theatre performer fulfilling a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance (Musical Theater concentration) from NYU Steinhardt.
My experience spans regional and international theatre, including work with Disney-affiliated productions, as well as extensive teaching in both private studio settings and performing arts programs. I have worked with singers of all levels—from beginners discovering their voice to advanced performers preparing for auditions, roles, and professional work.
As a performer, I have experience navigating demanding vocal tracks and maintaining vocal health in high-performance environments. This real-world insight informs my teaching, allowing me to guide students through both the artistic and technical challenges of singing.
In addition to my performance background, I have taught students across a wide range of ages and skill levels, helping them build strong, sustainable technique while staying rooted in storytelling and authentic expression.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is rooted in storytelling, embodiment, and vocal freedom.
I believe that the healthiest, most authentic singing happens when the voice is connected to intention, imagery, and physical sensation—not forced or over-controlled. Rather than treating technique and acting as separate, I guide students to access their voice through character, emotional truth, and clear circumstances.
Lessons often include:
• Visualization and imagery to unlock vocal ease
• Physical awareness to release tension (jaw, tongue, neck)
• Character-based exploration to support vocal choices
• Technique built through sensation rather than rigidity
I create a supportive, intuitive environment where students feel safe to explore, take risks, and discover what their voice naturally wants to do. My goal is not to make every singer sound the same—but to help you find your voice, fully and sustainably.
Curriculum
My teaching approach blends contemporary vocal pedagogy with somatic awareness and performance-based application.
Technical work may include:
• Breath coordination and support
• Mix/belt development for musical theatre
• Registration balance and vocal agility
• Tension release (jaw, tongue, neck)
• Healthy approach to high-impact repertoire
I incorporate elements of established voice science and pedagogy, including principles influenced by:
• Richard Miller
• Ingo Titze
• Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) techniques
Repertoire is chosen based on each student’s goals and may include:
• Musical theatre (golden age to contemporary)
• Pop/rock crossover
• Audition material and cuts
• Acting-through-song work
Students are encouraged to bring in their own material, especially for auditions or upcoming performances.
