About

I am a dedicated music educator based in Johannesburg, South Africa, with a lifelong love for music that began in childhood. From singing in choirs at the age of seven to mastering the piano and guitar, my journey has been one of deep exploration and joy. I hold a Grade 8 piano qualification from the Royal Schools of Music and have completed the practical requirements for my ATCL. My academic path led me to earn an MMus in Music Therapy from Pretoria University, further enriching my understanding of music's transformative power.

I have the privilege of singing with the Symphony Choir of Johannesburg, an ensemble that brings powerful choral performances to life. My journey has taken me to Germany, where I’ve performed in breathtaking venues, and I’ve had the incredible honor of singing alongside the legendary Andrea Bocelli—an experience that was nothing short of magical! Music has opened doors to unforgettable moments, and I cherish every note of this adventure.

With 35 years of teaching experience, I have had the privilege of working with students from ages 5 to 85, tailoring lessons to each individual's musical aspirations.

Teaching Style

I encourage students to set clear, achievable goals that keep their progress meaningful and motivating. Whether you're taking your first steps in music or refining your skills, my goal is to instill a deep and lasting love for music in every student I teach.

My approach is relaxed and stress-free, prioritizing personal enjoyment over exam preparation. I believe music should be a source of inspiration, not pressure, which is why I focus on helping students play the genres they love, while ensuring they build a solid foundation in musical fundamentals.
