Let’s Make Music Together – Learn Piano the Fun & Easy Way! 🎶

Hi there! I’m Kenric Adam—a medical student and passionate pianist who believes that learning music should be exciting, not overwhelming. I specialize in making piano approachable, fun, and deeply rewarding for students of all ages.

I have completed Grade 8 in Piano Performance from ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music), and I’m currently pursuing my ATCL diploma in Piano Performance from Trinity College London, which is equivalent to the first year of a music degree. My training blends both classical rigor and real-world performance, enabling me to teach with both technique and heart.

I’ve had the joy of performing across various community and school events, both as a soloist and accompanist, and I love bringing that performance mindset into lessons in a relaxed, confidence-boosting way. In addition to classical repertoire, I also enjoy teaching pop and worship music, tailoring lessons to your personal interests.

My teaching philosophy is all about simplifying complex music theory, so you only learn what’s truly useful at your level—because let’s face it, music theory shouldn’t feel harder than rocket science!

Whether you’re a total beginner or brushing up after years away from the keyboard, I’d love to help you (or your child) discover the joy of playing the piano. Let’s make this musical journey fun and fulfilling—are you ready to start?

Teaching Style

I focus on a practical, hands-on approach—you’ll be making music from the very first lesson! Instead of getting bogged down by theory, we’ll learn just what you need, when you need it, so you can start playing your favorite tunes quickly. I tailor lessons to each student’s goals and learning pace, blending creativity, encouragement, and a little humor to keep things fun and motivating. Whether you’re dreaming of playing pop hits, movie soundtracks, or classical pieces, I’ll guide you every step of the way with patience and enthusiasm.

Curriculum

My teaching method focuses on making piano learning accessible, enjoyable, and practical from day one. I emphasize a hands-on approach where students start playing real music early on, while gradually introducing essential theory in a simple, non-intimidating way. For beginners, I often use the John Thompson’s “Easiest Piano Course” series, which provides a fun, visual foundation for reading music and developing technique. As students progress, I incorporate Trinity College London’s graded piano repertoire books to build well-rounded skills in performance, musical expression, and technical development. Lessons are tailored to each student’s pace, goals, and musical interests—be it classical, pop, or worship music—ensuring that learning stays relevant and motivating.
