With over 30 years of experience as a professional guitarist, singer, and songwriter, my goal is to help you find your unique voice on the instrument. Whether you are picking up a guitar for the first time or you're an experienced player looking to break into the world of TV composition and professional songwriting, I tailor every lesson to your specific creative goals.

My degree in Business from East Carolina University has helped my career has span the decades, through live performance and professional studio work, and of course, teaching. Including composing original music for video and television, such as background music on the Discovery Channel, or the theme song for Meet the Fooses on TLC.  I bring this 'real-world' industry perspective into our sessions, teaching you not just how to play chords, but how to understand the fretboard, write compelling melodies, and develop the discipline required for professional-level musicianship.

I have spent years mentoring students of all ages and skill levels at such schools as The School of Communication Arts or The Progressive Music Center.  Helping them master everything from digital recording to foundational technique to advanced music theory and arrangement. My teaching style is encouraging, patient, and highly structured, ensuring that every session leaves you feeling capable and inspired to take your playing to the next level.
