About
Hi! I’m Krista, a working actor and filmmaker working across TV, film, and commercials, with credits including Star Trek: Short Treks(Paramount+) and recurring roles on Doc (Fox), Sheriff Country (CBS), and Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent(Citytv/The CW). I also coach actors, and a lot of how I teach comes from my experience both in front of and behind the camera—as an actor, casting director, audition session runner/reader, and director.
Currently based in Toronto, I'm originally from Vancouver where I discovered my love of film through various programs at Capilano University: acting, cinematography, and film production.
This industry hasn't always been a direct path for me, I grew up working in the restaurant industry and discovered I needed to fully step away in order to truly focus on my passion. Over the years, I've created and attained many goals, big and small, and it's still ongoing. Celebrate every win, learn from every experience, think big picture—it's not about the destination, but the journey after all.
Teaching Style
My approach is a mix of practical tools and trusting your instincts. Only you can tap into YOU. We’ll break down the material, make clear choices (we always have an opinion about something in our head), and build something you can actually rely on in auditions and on set—a big part of the work is finding what feels real for you.
Each session is really about what you need that day. We can work on auditions (past or upcoming), go through a scene, try out an exercise, or focus on a specific moment that’s giving you trouble... I’ve worked with actors at all levels—sometimes it's their absolutely first time auditioning, others it's someone I grew up watching!
So wherever you’re at in your career, I'll meet you there and we'll build from it.
