Kylee O'Donnell
About
Ms. O'Donnell is a private lesson teacher in Austin, TX, teaching beginners through adult. Her students are highly successful, often placing in the Middle School Region Band, and High School Area Bands.
She teaches classical flute and Native American Flute lessons.
Kylee received her Masters in Flute Performance from the prestigious Indiana University Jacobs School of Music where she studied with Thomas Robertello, and her Bachelors in Flute Performance from Duquesne University, where she studied with Rhian Kenny and Damian Bursill-Hall of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
She has won numerous competitions, performed with many orchestras, and is in high demand as a performer and educator in Texas.
Kylee also works for a Meditation Company in Austin, Insid3Out, and does sound healing events with them, retreats, yoga studios, and other spiritual communities.
Teaching Style
Ms. O'Donnell makes sure that a great sound is the main focus. Lots of focus on harmonics, long tones, all 12 scales depending on level, clear articulation, understanding of basic music theory, beautiful vibrato, site reading, duets, proper breathing, positive mindset with auditions and stressful situations, mock auditions, etc.
She takes everything she learned from her past teachers and gives that to her students!
