Laila Beidas

Laila is an excellent instructor who takes the time to understand what you want to learn and tailor the lessons to your needs. It was important to me to choose an instructor who can strengthen my conversational skills in Egyptian Arabic and be able to help me read and write Arabic as a beginner. Laila's instruction is the best fit to meet my goals. She is incredibly patient and encouraging which helps me a ton with my confidence when speaking the language.

Great teacher

Laila is so incredibly sweet and kind. My daughter (13) was interested in learning conversational Egyptian Arabic. I was very impressed with Laila's suggested materials, and she even sent her a welcome package with handmade educational materials as well as school supplies..! Was really above and beyond all my expectations! You can tell Laila really is dedicated to making learning fun, and she is incredibly patient and kind as a teacher. I have been recommending Laila to all of my mom friends for their kids as well. Even though Laila herself is from Libya, she is very knowledgeable in Egyptian dialect and slang, making it very useful for my daughter whose main interest is to learn to speak with her Egyptian relatives. Highly highly recommend!

Laila is an OUTSTANDING teacher. She adapts very well to a student’s goals and pace and her insights make perfect sense and are easy to understand. She’s very knowledgeable of regional dialects and customs and includes cultural explanations to break up monotony and prevent student burnout, while adding additional value. Laila makes herself available in between lessons to answer questions and offer additional explanations. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND her to anyone who wants the highest quality instruction at a flexible pace.

Leila is such an amazing teacher, but more importantly she’s an amazing person. When you’re signing up for her classes you are signing up for far more than you expect or pay for- she is endlessly generous with her time and energy and so incredibly caring. She filled our lessons with stories about the culture and history of the middle east - alongside grammar and vocabulary, of course. She is very patient and doesn’t make you feel judged or rushed, she is just there to help you learn in whatever way you want. I highly highly recommend her as a tutor, and I am so grateful to have gotten to work with her. She’s the best <3

I have been working with Laila for a little over a month and she is so knowledgable in Egyptian dialect which is exactly what I wanted to learn. She takes her time with me, but also challenges me and I feel like I am going to be able to really excel in learning this language with her help. She makes me feel comfortable in learning and speaking a new language and I look forward to every session that I have with her!

An excellent teacher, easy to understand and gives very detailed explanations.

I've been taking Arabic lessons with Laila for a few months now. I was a complete beginner when I started and she is the best teacher I've ever had. She is patient, and kind, and will adjust the lesson plan based on your level. She breaks it down so it's not too overwhelming. The lessons are fun and I am learning a lot.

Laila is an excellent teacher. She has an outstanding academic background and just the right techniques and materials to teach Arabic. With my kids, she was very patient, skillful and resourceful. I definitely recommend Laila for lessons for kids or adults.

If I could give Laila a thousand-star rating I would! I am an adult student, middle eastern background with a starting proficiency level of a beginner. I took lessons with Laila for about a year and half and my skill in reading, writing, and conversation tremendously improved over that period of time. Laila is very patient, energetic, and creative in her style of teaching. She is very thoughtful in her lesson planning and utilizes many different resources making each class different and enjoyable. Laila is also very flexible and adapted to my learning style. She paid close attention to my needs and focused on areas that I needed more improvement. Laila always made sure to ask for feedback for any changes or topics that I wanted to focus on which I really appreciated. Laila has grown passed just being my teacher but now a part of my family! I highly encourage you to sign up with lessons with Laila -- you will have an amazing experience!

Laila is such a wonderful teacher, we have learned so much throughout our time with her! We look forward to our time every week! My middle child was having trouble reading and now we also see her through her reading clinic. I am always confident my children are getting the best education from her and they are so excited to work with her! Whether it be Arabic or reading. I was taking Arabic too but I had to take a short break and I am looking forward to our time again when I can get back to it! I also love how she brings the culture to life! My husband is Arabic but he has trouble breaking down the language for us so I am so glad we were able to find Laila and she speaks the same dialect! There aren’t enough good things I can say! If you want to learn Arabic from a truly genuine person definitely contact her!

Miss Laila is an incredible, passionate, and compassionate teacher. My daughter has developed a love of learning Arabic with her fun, energetic and thorough approach to teaching. She goes above and beyond to ensure the child's needs are being met, and, constantly pivots to tailor her lesson plans to accommodate my daughter's learning level. I can't say enough great things about Miss Laila - she is a pure delight to work with, and we're so glad we found her!

We love our Arabic teacher! Ms. Layla is a caring and committed individual who is comprehensive in her teaching approach as well as fun and kid-friendly in her teaching style. It’s such a relief to know that our child is receiving excellent Arabic instruction on a weekly basis. She will adjust her curriculum and pace according to your family’s needs. At first, we wondered how engaging an online experience would be for our seven year old, but we’ve been super happy with Ms. Layla.

Laila has been wonderful! She has been teaching my children, 4 and 6. She is very patient and makes the lessons age appropriate and fun! I like to sit with them and learn too! I am so happy that we have found her and highly recommend her.

Laila B. teaches my 6 and 10 years old sons Arabic. She is knowledgeable, patient, thorough, and very dedicated. I was worried that the boys would lose interest or get bored but she keeps things interesting and engages them in such a way that they cannot wait for their Arabic lesson every week. Laila is a truly exceptional instructor! Many years ago I mentored her as she studied the Phono-Graphix reading/spelling method. What a sharp and driven student she was. Since then, Laila has become a respected colleague and cherished friend of mine. Her love of learning and for her students shines forth in all that she does. She brings this, along with extensive experience and preparation to every lesson.

My daughter's reading skills have improved tremendously over that last year. We have found the tutoring sessions to be very helpful and beneficial.

My son was struggling with reading and it was affecting his performance at school. Laila's approach was very professional. She gave him a free test to determine the problem then started working with him. Her methods of teaching were different, fast and very effective. We could see results after a few sessions. She is so passionate about teaching, approchable and warm. My son loved his lessons and I loved dealing with her.
