Lana Obrenovic
About
Hi! I’m Lana Obrenović, a cellist from Montenegro currently completing my Master’s degree in cello performance at the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatory in Trieste, Italy.
My musical journey began at the age of eight at the Music and Ballet School “Vasa Pavić” in Podgorica, where I first discovered my deep love for the cello. Since then, I’ve performed with symphonic and chamber ensembles in Montenegro and Italy, taking part in projects such as Viva Verdi, Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2, and Der Rattenfänger von Hameln by Günther Kretzschmar.
In addition to performing, I have two years of teaching experience at an elementary music school in Montenegro, where I worked with children and young beginners. This experience shaped my approach to teaching - patient, attentive, and encouraging. I believe every student learns best in a positive and inspiring atmosphere, and I adapt my methods to each individual’s pace, goals, and personality.
I teach in Serbian, English, and Italian, and I welcome students of all levels - from beginners discovering the cello for the first time to advanced players refining their technique and expression.
