Leanna is hands down the best music teacher I’ve had! She is so sweet and understanding. I started from nowhere and have progressed so much! I am so grateful to have her as my flute teacher. I highly recommend her lessons :)
Leanna is and has been a wonderful teacher for my daughter. She is an encouraging, inspiring, patient, and motivational teacher, and is highly passionate about musicianship. She creates a wonderful environment for continued growth and learning.
Leanna is the best ❤️ I'm also a professional musician (violin/viola) and a teacher myself. She's great at explaining things thoroughly but in a way that makes sense developmentally, and she's extremely encouraging! 100% recommend.
Wonderful person to work with ....Leanna is helping so much with the mechanics of flute playing focusing on breath control and tone......So appreciate her patience!
Experienced and pleasant to work with I’m glad that I chose Leanna as my flute teacher. Although she looks young, she is highly skilled at teaching. She is very good at evaluating my level and adjusting her lessons accordingly. I took in person lessons before with another teacher and was not very happy with the sound I made, however, with Lena, just after about two sessions, she pointed out what I did wrong, and I improved a lot. She pays attention to details related to a flutist (such as my gesture, my posture, and my head level etc.), and reminded me from time to time whenever I made the mistake. She had a busy schedule but was willing to work it out with me when I had scheduled conflict. She is respectful and kind which, as an adult student, I appreciate a lot, but she is also friendly and fun, and that makes the lesson so interesting. I highly recommend her!

Teaching Style
I believe the most important part of learning is a positive, supportive environment where students feel encouraged to grow. My studio welcomes students ages 5 through adult, from complete beginners to advanced players.
Having studied with many different teachers and philosophies myself, I’ve developed a method that helps students progress quickly, confidently, and joyfully. Each lesson begins with a conversation about your practice so we can celebrate progress and work through challenges together.
Lessons include technical and tone exercises as well as carefully chosen repertoire that balances skill-building and enjoyment. I help students select pieces that inspire them—and if you’d like to learn a favorite popular song, I’ll even create a custom arrangement tailored to your level! Together we can also explore playing by ear and improvisation.
For online students, I provide recorded duets, solos, and piano accompaniments so we can make music together, even at a distance. If you’re studying flute in school, we can either reinforce your current materials or branch out into new repertoire to expand your skills beyond the classroom.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting your musical journey. Let’s find a time that works best for your lessons—I’d love to help you reach your goals!
