Leonardo Jung
About
Leonardo began his clarinet studies at age eight, and is currently a third-year Clarinet Performance student at the University of British Columbia, where he studies with internationally acclaimed clarinetist José Franch-Ballester. His experience across solo performance, orchestral playing, and chamber music has shaped him into a versatile musician, a quality he brings into every lesson. He has performed with orchestras and chamber ensembles and has also studied in New York with world-renowned Professor Charles Neidich. Leonardo has taught students across Canada, South Korea, and the United States, and welcomes learners of all ages in both English and Korean.
Teaching Style
Leonardo tailors each lesson to the individual student, whether that is a young beginner picking up the clarinet for the first time or an adult exploring music as a new hobby. He believes that developing musicality and a genuine understanding of the music is just as important as mastering the fundamentals. Above all, Leonardo is committed to helping each student reach their own goals, whether that means having fun, building confidence, or advancing to the next level.
