About

Lorenzo is a clarinetist with a rich background in orchestral and solo performances, gaining experience in prestigious musical institutions both in Italy and abroad.

In 2025, he won the audition for the position of second clarinet at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, joining one of the most renowned opera and symphonic foundations in Italy.

In the same year, in October 2024, he also won the audition for the positions of first and second clarinet at Orchestra EuropaIncanto, with which he regularly performs concerts at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples and at the Nuvola dell’EUR in Rome.

He has had the opportunity to collaborate with the Orchestra of Teatro La Fenice in Venice, under the baton of M° Rhorer, and with the Choir and Orchestra of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome, performing at the Auditorium Parco della Musica.

Thanks to winning the “Professione Orchestra” scholarship, organized by the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai in Turin, he performed at the “Arturo Toscanini” Auditorium, taking part in four productions with the OSN Rai, as well as an additional concert on May 14, 2023.

Throughout his career, he has had the honor of working with internationally renowned conductors such as Daniele Gatti, Ottavio Dantone, Costantinos Carydis, Alessandro Bonato, and Fabio Luisi, enriching his musical approach.

He participated with the Orchestra di Ferentino in two editions of the World Music Contest in Kerkrade (July 29, 2017, and August 2, 2022), in the Concert Category, achieving 4th place overall and competing with prestigious orchestras.

His solo performances have taken him to the United States, where on July 26 and 28, 2023, he performed in Portland and Falmouth, receiving enthusiastic acclaim and a standing ovation at both concerts.

Driven by passion and dedication, Lorenzo continues to refine his craft and embrace new musical challenges, with the goal of growing artistically and sharing his music with the public.

Teaching Style

I love helping students grow — whether you’re picking up the clarinet for the first time or preparing for auditions and exams.

In our lessons, we can work on:

  • Developing tone and technique
  • Breathing, articulation, and musical expression
  • Exploring classical, modern, and customized repertoire
  • Sight-reading, ear training, and music theory (if desired)
  • Audition and exam preparation

My approach is friendly and student-centered. I adapt each lesson to your pace and goals, creating a motivating and supportive space to learn.

Curriculum

My teaching method is flexible, student-centered, and built on encouragement. I focus on developing solid technique, musicality, and confidence, while adapting each lesson to the student’s age, goals, and learning pace.

For beginners, we’ll start with the fundamentals: posture, embouchure, breath control, and tone production. I use method books, simple songs, and fun exercises to help you enjoy the learning process from day one.

For intermediate and advanced students, I offer deeper work on articulation, phrasing, interpretation, and a wide range of repertoire (classical, contemporary, and more). I also guide students in preparing for auditions, exams, or public performances.

Lessons may include:

  • Warm-ups and tone-building exercises
  • Scales and technical studies
  • Repertoire work (tailored to the student’s taste and level)
  • Sight-reading and rhythm training
  • Music theory

My approach is always positive and constructive. I believe music should be joyful and motivating, and I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel safe to grow, explore, and express themselves.

Lessons are available in English or Italian, and I teach students of all ages and levels.
