About
I’ve loved guitar since the age of 14, when I saw the cool kids playing in bands and wanted to join them.
Luckily my dyslexia support tutor who's also a singer in a band, saw the desire and bought me a guitar, 2004, that was a beautiful summer.
This passion drove me to a degree in commercial music specializing in guitar, because of dyslexia this was by no means easy, but worth it...
My biggest moments were: European tour playing guitar for a Lady Gaga tribute band 2012, rock band Councillor at Long Lake Camp For The Arts 2017, and headlining the Broken Spoke Saloon, Nashville TN 2018.
Teaching Style
My students say I'm very thorough and caring.
I'm strong on technique, theory, posture, and mindset. That being said, I keep things fun and build strong raport.
I like to get students reading music if possible, and all students practicing some form of music theory, as it saves years of fumbling around in the dark not knowing where to put your fingers.
I'm a strong believer in finding your level, That perfect point where everything comes together (chords, single notes, reading, theory, technical ability, ect) and gradually move forward in a calculated way, this covers more ground than anything else I've seen.
