Marco Pitruzzella – Professional Drummer & Educator
Hello! My name is Marco Pitruzzella, though many in the music community know me as "Lord Marco." I’ve been playing drums for over 30 years and teaching for more than 20. While I didn’t come from a particularly musical family, I was drawn to music—especially drumming—from a very young age. I received my first pair of drumsticks as a birthday gift from my best friend when I was just nine years old, and I haven’t put them down since.
Throughout my school years, I was heavily involved in music programs, from elementary school all the way through high school. I’m especially grateful for my time in a competitive high school drumline, where I developed a strong foundation in rudiments and technique that helped shape the drummer I am today. Though I was formally trained in Jazz and Funk, I was always fascinated by the idea of pushing the boundaries of speed and technicality in drumming.
After graduating high school, I began touring Europe as the drummer for Vital Remains. Soon after, I co-founded Brain Drill, a band that gained international attention for our extreme speed and technical prowess, eventually signing with Metal Blade Records. Since then, I’ve continued to tour and record with a number of prominent acts, including The Faceless, Anomalous, Vornagar, Sleep Terror, Vile, and Rings of Saturn, among others.
Currently, I am the drummer for Six Feet Under (since 2013), Sleep Terror (since 2015), and Wrath Of Logarius (since 2020). Whether on stage or in the studio, I’m passionate about pushing creative and physical limits through drumming.
When I’m not behind the kit, I cherish spending time with my wife and kids.

I’m proudly endorsed by Axis Percussion (since 2005), Paiste Cymbals (since 2013), and Vic Firth Drumsticks (since 2013)—brands synonymous with excellence in the drumming world. In 2007, I independently produced and released my own instructional DVD, which sold over 1,000 copies worldwide. That project played a key role in shaping and inspiring a new generation of drummers—many of whom have gone on to become well-known names in the scene today. In 2024, I became a Twitch Affiliate, expanding my reach into live digital performance and community engagement. My personal YouTube channel has amassed over 34 million total views, connecting with a global audience through high-impact content and performance.
