About

I am a passionate music teacher, performer, and songwriter with a deep belief in music as a path to self-expression, connection, and transformation.

With years of experience across multiple genres — from rock and blues to world music and singer-songwriter traditions — I guide students not just in technique, but in finding their unique voice and musical identity. My teaching style is supportive, intuitive, and personalized, blending technical foundations with creativity and emotional expression.

Whether you're a beginner finding your first notes or an experienced player seeking deeper artistry, I'm here to help you unlock your potential and truly enjoy the journey.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is shaped by the student’s goals and abilities. I begin by discovering what inspires the student — why they want to make music and what they enjoy. Then, we set a clear goal together, whether it’s learning a specific piece or developing improvisation skills. From there, I build a personalized path to that goal, starting with the basics of the instrument and fundamental music theory, and gradually moving toward deeper and more advanced aspects of musical creativity.

Curriculum

Teaching Method: My teaching method is highly individualized and goal-oriented. I adapt my approach to each student's inspiration, interests, and abilities. Lessons are structured around setting a clear objective — such as learning a favorite piece, building improvisational skills, or understanding musical structure — and creating a personalized path to reach it. I combine practical work on the instrument with foundational music theory, ear training, rhythm development, and creative exploration. I encourage students to connect emotionally with the music and develop their own musical voice, not just technical proficiency.

Recommended Student Texts: Depending on the student’s goals and skill level, I may recommend resources such as: Alfred’s Basic Music Theory, The Real Book, Hal Leonard Method Books.
