Martin Jenkins

With over twenty years experience in teaching music to pupils of all ages while continuing to write, record and perform music. A friendly and adaptable individual with an approachable persona which has developed through a varied career who endeavours to maintain a friendly, high standard of music lessons to people of all age groups both online and in person, teaching guitar, bass guitar and voice. Mainly supporting pupils through graded exams, Nat 5, Higher and Advanced Higher music but also offering lessons for fun.

I generally teach rock and pop guitar but have many young pupils where I teach the fundamentals of music as well as guitar. I always try to centre the lessons to fit the students requirements and try to make the time as informal as possible. However, I do support students through exams either with guitar grades or for school exams. To support this I use formats such as Trinity College or Rockschool graded books and build pupils knowledge of their instrument and general theory as we go. In my time I have had countless pupils pass exams at standard grade, higher and advanced higher with some going on to study music formally and persue music as a career.
