Teaching Style

My fascination with the human voice has been lifelong. As much as I enjoy being on stage, I equally enjoy studying all aspects of vocal function and helping people discover—or rediscover—their voices. As a Vocal Health Habilitation Professional, I follow a health-informed, evidence-based approach to voice training. My work focuses on safe and sustainable vocal function, clear scope of practice, collaboration with medical professionals when needed, and fully individualized techniques tailored to each client’s anatomy and goals. I aim to empower singers with practical knowledge, healthy vocal strategies, and long-term tools for vocal resilience and recovery. I am a passionate admirer of opera and classical singing, and throughout my development I have studied everything from the writings of Lamperti and García to contemporary, science-based research on the voice.

Curriculum

For the last 15 years, I’ve been successfully working with voice professionals, students, beginners, and individuals with vocal health concerns, across various musical styles and genres, with a particular emphasis on classical singing technique. In recent years, my work has focused primarily on active operatic professionals, students experiencing vocal difficulties, and postmenopausal singers.

I provide health-informed and anatomically aware voice lessons, including pre- operative therapeutic voice training and post-operative voice conditioning after injury, as well as general functional voice training for individuals after recovering from vocal injury or functional voice difficulties.
