Teaching Style

My Piano teaching philosophy is based on the gradual pedagogical steps and stages of pupils learning the piano patiently and excitingly. Creating some fun-related atmosphere makes the student see piano learning as fun, a hobby, and not a strict subject that needs to be scary and this catapult to the keen eagerness of the student wanting to know more about the art and craft of playing the Piano. I tend to get my students acclimatized with familiar songs exercises or etudes to endear them to practice and long more for the piano as they play tunes they know (from the known to the unknown). Indeed I can attest that am a patient instructor understanding that each piano student cant be treated the same as they vary in their level of understanding and orientation, thus this has made me successful over the years and awarded a certificate of outstanding teaching performance from Harrryfield Music institute, Lagos, Nigeria in 2022

Curriculum

My teaching approach emphasizes gradual pedagogical steps, creating a fun and engaging atmosphere that transforms piano learning from a strict subject into a hobby. I guide students from familiar concepts to new ones, using practical illustrations and exercises tailored to their unique learning styles. This method ensures that each student develops a strong foundation while enjoying the learning process.

Recommended Student Texts:
I recommend using John Thompson's Modern Course for the Piano, covering levels from beginner to Grade 4. This series provides a comprehensive and progressive curriculum, introducing fundamental skills and musical concepts in a structured yet enjoyable manner.
