About

I’ve been playing guitar for over 20 years, specializing in rock, alternative rock, hard rock, and blues. My biggest influences include Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queens of the Stone Age, Royal Blood, and Death From Above 1979 — bands that inspired me with their energy, creativity, and powerful guitar-driven sound.

Over the years, I’ve gained experience performing, writing, and collaborating with other musicians, which taught me not only how to grow as a guitarist but also how to keep the playing fun and motivating. Now, I enjoy helping others discover the same excitement I felt when I first picked up the guitar.

My lessons are laid-back, relaxed, and focused on helping beginners and hobbyists play the songs they love while building a solid rock foundation.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is patient, supportive, and fun. I believe learning guitar should be exciting, not overwhelming — so I keep things simple, practical, and focused on playing music you actually enjoy.

For beginners, I break down every step — from holding the guitar and strumming your first chord, to playing full songs — in a way that feels natural and encouraging.
For hobbyists, I create lessons that help you grow at your own pace while building confidence, whether your goal is to jam with friends, write your music, or just unwind after work.

I focus on:

  • Learning songs early so you stay motivated.

  • Building a strong rock & blues foundation (chords, riffs, rhythm, dynamics).

  • Encouraging creativity through improvisation and simple lead playing.

  • Keeping lessons flexible so they fit your style, goals, and pace.

Above all, I want my students to feel comfortable, inspired, and excited to pick up the guitar — because that’s where the real progress happens.

Curriculum

I use a hands-on, song-driven approach, balancing practical playing with foundational skills:

  • Play riffs and songs from day one to stay motivated

  • Build a strong rock & blues foundation (technique, rhythm, timing)

  • Encourage creativity and improvisation

Recommended materials:

  • Hal Leonard Guitar for Fundamentals

  • Rock & blues technique books by Wolf Marshall or Dave Rubin

  • Songbooks from Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queens of the Stone Age, Royal Blood, or any other band the student is passionate about

  • Backing tracks and jam apps to practice timing and improvisation
