Michael Putman
About
Hello there! I am a guitarist of 18 years with much experience in bass, piano, songwriting, and singing! I’ve been playing in different bands, ensembles, and various groups ranging over genres such as CCM (contemporary Christian music), to rock, R&B, country, metal, and many others. As of early 2024, I graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston. I’ve been giving lessons since 2018 and am very excited to help people learn and grow in their musical journey!
Teaching Style
I believe and have personally witnessed in myself and in the students I teach that a patient, positive, motivational, and steady process works every time with speed and development in all playing styles. I prioritize a creative, fun, and exciting environment perfectly suitable for making long strides and healthy practicing and playing habits to be used for the rest of any individual's playing journey.
Curriculum
I bring with me techniques, music theory, ear training, and more from Berklee that I like to pass down to my students. I like to start by listening to my students' interests, favorite genres, and inspirations and then tailoring lessons based on their answers and responses. So whether that be producing guitar, bass, keyboard, rhythmic, or orchestral composition it will all be based on techniques that are applicable for all genres and form-fitted to each individual's specific interests in their musical journey.
