Mika “Moo”

Hello, my name is Mika!
I myself began playing the cello during lockdown in 2021 and have seen how much joy and personal growth it has brought me, and would love to share it with other people, guiding them on their own journeys with music!

I'm a cellist who regularly performed and competed with national competitions with LRSM Level Repertoire, but now has focused on teaching others. I've performed at wonderful Venues all throughout Scotland, including notably: Greyfriar's Kirk in Edinburgh, Perth Concert Hall, and Dundee Jazz Festival. I come from a background of being classically trained at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland on the Cello, where I had the amazing opportunity to be a Finalist of the Scottish Young Musician National Competition (2024). All of these experiences have helped me grow in my musical development, making me confident in my strong teaching abilities.

Helping people with music is my dream. Whether you're a beginner or intermediate, I'll guide you at a pace that actually feels comfortable, and to make learning supportive, effective and fun!

I’ll teach you the Cello with personalised online lessons. Lessons will be provided 1-1 :) All ages (and Beginner to Grade 8 stages) welcome!
