I am a native Japanese and speak standard Japanese. I completed Japanese language teacher training course 420 hours. I have taught students from 40 countries over the past 4 years. My passion for teaching Japanese developed while working at an English(Eikaiwa) school for about 15 years as an administrator and sales. I supported many students learning English. I studied English in England. I understand very well how difficult it is to study a language. And I know how it's fun to talk in foreign language!

Highly recommend Mikiko as she is very attentive and flexible in helping to achieve whatever goals are agreed upon. She is on time and has a lesson structure in mind before starting. Her follow up is spot on, with learning charts to help with comprehension and memory.

Mikiko is very patient and helpful. Not being a Skype user, it took a bit of time for me to get everything working correctly. Mikiko listens to what I'd like to learn about and then uses her teaching time to focus on the topic in question. I really like the way she breaks down long Japanese works into "bite size" words that are easier for me to manage and say, which she types in the chat notes.
Mikko sensei is great teaching Japanese! I am a complete beginner. She breaks things down and helps with pronunciation. She pushes me to use as much Japanese as I can. She helps distinguish between what I read/study on my own and what is conversational or commonly used. I am greatly enjoying working with her!
