Curriculum
This class is about basic learning. I mainly teach how to hold the flute and how to play the swaras on it, for example Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha, Ni, Sa. I also teach the best style for learning the flute and which positions are most comfortable.
For students who can already play ragas at a junior level, this class helps them develop their raga skills further. We cover the basic raga system and teach how to play a raga, including its Aroh, Avaroh, Vadi, Samvadi, Samaya, Varjya swar, and Nyasa swara.
