Nare Torosyan
About
Hi! I’m Nare, a viola and violin teacher with 4 years of experience teaching students of all ages and levels, both online and in person. I’m passionate about helping each student reach their full potential, and I create lessons that are fun, motivating, and tailored to your personal goals—whether it’s preparing for exams, exploring new repertoire, or simply enjoying the joy of playing music.
I have been performing since the age of 5 and have extensive international experience, having studied and performed in Armenia, France, Norway, and Austria. I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Music in Austria, which inspires me to bring fresh ideas, techniques, and musical perspectives into my teaching.
In my lessons, I focus on building strong technique, expressive musicality, and a genuine love for your instrument. I aim to create a positive, encouraging environment where students feel confident to explore, experiment, and grow as musicians. Let’s embark on this musical journey together!
Teaching Style
My teaching style is enthusiastic, supportive, and student-centered. I have 4 years of teaching experience, working with students of all ages and levels, both online and in person. Having studied and performed in Armenia, France, and through the Erasmus+ program in Norway, I bring a broad international perspective to my lessons.
I focus on developing strong technique, expressive musicality, and a genuine love for music, tailoring each lesson to your personal goals—whether preparing for exams, improving technique, or performing solo or in ensembles.
I aim to create a positive, inspiring environment where students feel confident to explore, experiment, and grow as musicians. I also use modern online tools to make lessons interactive and engaging, so learning music is fun and effective no matter where you are.
Curriculum
I use a student-centered approach, tailoring each lesson to the individual’s goals, skill level, and learning style. My lessons combine:
• Technique development – bowing, fingering, intonation, and posture
• Musical expression – phrasing, dynamics, and interpretation
• Repertoire exploration – from classical to contemporary works
• Ensemble skills – chamber music and orchestral preparation
• Sight-reading and theory – integrated naturally into practice
Having studied and performed in Armenia, France, Norway, I bring a broad musical perspective, introducing students to diverse styles, interpretations, and performance practices. I also use interactive online tools to make lessons engaging and productive for students learning remotely.
