Neda Stojkanović
About
Hi, my name is Neda. I am a graduated violinist with a Master’s degree in Classical Violin from the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatory in Trieste, Italy. I enriched my expertise through a professional teaching engagement at the Johann Joseph Fux Conservatory in Graz. Currently based in Austria, I continue to develop both my artistic and pedagogical path.
I was honored to receive awards at national and international violin competitions, including the International String Festival “Città di Barletta” in Italy, Fantast in Serbia, and others across the region.
I have also taken part in more than 50 international music festivals and projects, including KotorArt International Festival, Tivat Music Festival, Wild Beauty Art Festival, Perast Strings Festival, Summer Camp for Chamber Music, Styriarte Youth Orchestra and many more. I had the honor of representing the Giuseppe Tartini Conservatory in performances for national institutions in Rome and Trieste, including concerts at Senato della Repubblica, as well as at Palazzo del Quirinale for the President of Italy.
As part of my professional journey, I am a permanent member of the Montenegro Festival Orchestra, where I have also performed as a soloist. I continue to actively collaborate with various ensembles and orchestras across Europe.
Teaching Style
My teaching method combines classical European violin pedagogy with individual tailoring to meet the specific needs of each student. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, if you are here, it likely means you seek support in some aspect of your musical education.
With over 18 years of playing experience and extensive pedagogical work with youth, I bring a wealth of international knowledge and a systematic approach to the students I work with.
As part of my program, you will explore:
Fundamentals: reading violin music, proper posture, intonation, scales, solfeggio, techniques and other exercises.
Violin Technique: correct posture, holding of the violin and the bow, finger and bow techniques through various exercises.
Pitch and Rhythm: recognizing and notating pitches on all strings, experience diverse rhythms and meters.
Musical Vocabulary: basic musical terms and symbols.
Making music: learning to express your musicality through understanding form, dynamics, tempo and phrasing.
Repertoire: literature of various composers, understanding their style and historical background.
Feel free to contact me and book a trial lesson so that I can understand your priorities and, in accordance with your level of experience and individual learning pace, embark on this musical journey.
With a strong desire to build a supportive platform for violinists, I eagerly look forward to welcoming you to my online classroom!
