About

Piano Lessons for All Levels | Classical, Improvisation & Creative Music

I am a pianist, composer, and educator with over 10 years of international experience in performance and teaching. I am currently a PhD candidate in Communication and Cultural Industry at Universitat Politècnica de València (Spain). I hold a Master of Music in Composition from the University of Art in Tehran (2009), and I also completed advanced training in harmony and musicianship at The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto (2007). My background combines strong classical piano training with contemporary music, improvisation, and creative approaches to learning.

As a musician, I have performed and presented my work internationally in cities such as Barcelona, Oslo, Valencia, and Toronto. My projects include solo piano performances, chamber music, and interdisciplinary collaborations with ensembles such as the Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra and Toronto Array Music. I was awarded First Prize in Symphonic Orchestral Composition at the International Fajr Music Festival (2012), and my works have been performed in festivals and cultural institutions across Europe and North America.

Alongside my artistic career, I have more than a decade of teaching and educational experience. I am the founder and director of Gozar Music Assembly in Tehran, an academy I established in 2010, where I designed and led long-term educational programs, workshops, and masterclasses for music students. Through this work, I have taught piano, music theory, and creativity to students of different ages and levels, both in-person and online.

In my piano lessons, I focus on building a strong technical foundation while also developing musical expression, creativity, and confidence. I work with beginners, intermediate, and advanced students, including adults who are returning to the piano or starting for the first time. Lessons can include classical repertoire, improvisation, composition, and personalized exercises tailored to each student’s goals.

My teaching style is supportive, flexible, and student-centered. Whether you want to play your favorite pieces, prepare for exams, or explore your own musical creativity, I will guide you step by step and adapt the lessons to your pace and interests.

Teaching Style

My Teaching Style

My lessons are structured but warm and encouraging. I focus on:

• Building solid technique without pressure

• Developing musical expression and confidence

• Preparing students for recitals and performances

• Helping each student discover their own musical voice

Curriculum

My teaching method combines structured technical development with creativity and musical expression. I focus on building a strong foundation in posture, hand position, tone production, rhythm, and reading skills, while also encouraging students to listen deeply and play musically from the very beginning. Lessons are tailored to each student’s age, level, and goals. For structured progression, I teach the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) curriculum, which provides a clear and internationally recognized pathway from beginner to advanced levels. In addition to RCM materials, I select repertoire from classical piano literature and, when appropriate, introduce elements of world music—especially Persian music—to broaden musical understanding and cultural awareness. My goal is to balance technical discipline with artistic freedom, helping students grow with confidence and enjoyment.

Credentials & Affiliations

I hold a Master’s degree in music and am currently completing my PhD at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, where I continue to deepen my research and artistic development. With over 30 years of teaching experience, I have guided many students through structured study, successful recitals, and international music examinations.

I teach the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) curriculum, offering students a clear and internationally recognized pathway in piano education. In addition to being a pianist and educator, I am also a composer, and I strongly encourage my students to develop creativity alongside technique. I believe music education should not only train the hands, but also nurture imagination, curiosity, and personal expression.

My work connects classical training with world music traditions—especially Persian music—reflecting my international background and artistic perspective.
